[GS_C_QI] Sharing quantum indistinguishability with multiple parties
ABSTRACT
When a quantum system is measured, its state will be irreversibly transformed. This may lead one to believe that any information initially encoded in quantum systems will be lost. In fact, this is not the case. In this talk, I will present recent work on sequential state discrimination based on maximum confidence measurements. We show that, if measurements and their associated transformations are designed carefully, any number of parties may extract information about an initial ensemble by repeated measurements. We provide conditions for optimal performance and study a number of examples, emphasising the interplay between disturbance and information extraction in sequential information processing.
