Lee, Seung Joon

Professor

Particle Physics

Seung J. Lee’s research focuses on exploring physics beyond the Standard Model, particularly the mechanisms behind electroweak symmetry breaking and the origin of cosmic dark matter. His work bridges theory and experiment—constructing testable models based on quantum field theory, interpreting new data, and probing the imprint of new physics in collider experiments or astrophysical observations. He is also deeply engaged in developing theoretical tools such as effective field theories and jet substructure techniques, as well as applying artificial intelligence/machine learning methods to enhance the interpretation of experimental data.
