Professor

The School of Computational Sciences at Korea Institute for Advanced Study is seeking outstanding faculty candidates for a full-time Professor position in the areas of Computational sciences.
 

The candidates are required to have doctorate degrees in the relevant fields. (o Combinatorics, Algorithm, Extremal Graph Theory, Computing Theory o Computational Quantum Materials o Computational Neuroscience o Programming Language, AI Theory or Machine Learning o Quantum Computation & Information Science o Post-Quantum Cryptography, Homomorphic Encryption and Computing o Data Science)

The initial appointment for the faculty position is from one to three years and is renewable for every up to seven additional years depending on overall research performance. Accommodation may be supported upon request, depending on the availability of vacancies

Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, three letters of recommendation, a research statement, and additional materials that may help assess the candidate’s academic capabilities through KIAS recruitment webpage (https://jobs.kias.re.kr) by April 30, 2026 (GMT +9) for full consideration.

Applicants are asked to prepare all documents in English, with the exception of reference letters. KIAS Professors should not be included among the referees. All documents should be submitted by the deadline, and if any of a certain applicant’s required documents are missing or incomplete, the applicant’s materials may not be evaluated. The recruitment process consists of document screening and evaluation by the AD Hoc committee, which includes an open lecture or interview
