[GS_C_QT] Towards realization of hybrid spin networks in solid-state system
ABSTRACT
In recent years, the utilization of diamond-based hybrid spin defect systems, which in-volve the nitrogen-vacancy (NV) color center and various nuclear spin species, has garnered significant attention. These systems hold promise as platforms for atomic-scale magnetic field sensors and serve as building blocks for quantum information processors. This is attributed to their robust nature and the ability to achieve high-precision spin control even at ambient tempera-tures. At KIST (Korea Institute of Science and Technology), we are actively involved in the de-velopment of a comprehensive framework for utilizing hybrid electron-nuclear spin defect regis-ters. Our approach encompasses the entire spectrum of activities, ranging from the develop-ment of optimal control tools to device engineering, with the aim of realizing an ensemble spin cluster quantum node for diverse quantum applications. In this work, I will present our recent works focused on the coherent manipulation of a spin cluster system in diamond for quantum information applications. Additionally, I will discuss our latest research efforts involving the application of nano-fabrication techniques to engineer a qubit cluster system. Finally, I will present an example that demonstrates the utilization of an electron-nuclear spin hybrid system for simulating topological phase transitions in solid-state systems.
