TITLE
Emerging Trends in Robotics: How can LLMs and Robotics be integrated?
ABSTRACT
In this seminar, we delve into the cutting-edge developments in robotics, emphasizing the integration of large language models (LLMs). Our discussion begins with an exploration of Google DeepMind's latest contributions, showcasing their innovative approach to robotic applications. We then present our groundbreaking research on Text-based Human Search, a novel methodology that leverages LLMs for enhanced search efficiency in complex environments. Another key focus is on 'Disambiguating User Command in Human-Robot Interaction (HRI)', where we explore how LLMs can interpret and clarify human instructions, thereby improving the accuracy and efficiency of robotic responses. The seminar also covers our pioneering work in 'Semi-autonomous Teleoperation combining LLMs and Simulators', a hybrid approach that synergizes the predictive power of LLMs with the precision of simulators for remote robotic control. Additionally, we discuss the advancements in LLM-based Human-Robot Interaction, illustrating how these models facilitate more natural and effective communication between humans and robots. Through these topics, the seminar aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the current and potential impacts of LLMs in the field of robotics, setting the stage for future innovations.
