TITLE
Yang-Mills theory and random surfaces
ABSTRACT
I will explain how to understand Wilson loop expectations as sums over surfaces in the 2D continuum Euclidean Yang-Mills theory (Park-Pfeffer-Sheffield-Yu). Building on the same techniques, we provide alternate derivations and generalizations of several lattice string trajectory theorems (Chatterjee-Jafarov) and surface sum theorems (Magee-Puder). Based on the joint work with Sky Cao and Scott Sheffield.
