Center for Mathematical Challenges (CMC) at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applicants for the positions at the level of Research Professor in pure and applied mathematics.
Applicants are expected to have demonstrated exceptional research potential, including major contributions beyond or through the doctoral dissertation. 

CMC Fellow

The Center for Mathematical Challenges (CMC) of Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applications for CMC Fellow appointments in mathematics. Applicants should have demonstrated an outstanding record of research. Research potential and research leadership will also be considered in the evaluation of candidates.

The initial appointment is for two years with a possibility of a one-time renewal of up to three years; the renewed contract period shall be determined by the needs and situation of CMC project. The annual salary will be decided within the range of 60,000,000 Korean won (current exchange rate); and 70,000,000 Korean won depending on project funding. An individual research grant of 15,000,000 Korean Won and a welfare card will be available each year. There are no teaching duties.
