  • Professor
    • For the positions of tenure faculty and KIAS Scholar, the Institute accepts applications from exceptional candidates working in foundational areas of theoretical basic sciences all year around.   • KIAS Fellow
    • The School of Physics of Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applications for KIAS Fellow appointments in Physics. Applicants should have demonstrated an outstanding record of research. Research potential and research leadership will also be considered in the evaluation of candidates.
    • The initial appointment is for five years with a possibility of a one-time renewal for up to two additional years. The starting salary is 70,000,000 Korean won (current exchange rate); an individual research grant of 30,000,000 Korean Won and a welfare card will be available each year. On-campus housing may be supported upon request, depending on the availability of vacancies. There are no teaching duties.

  • Research Fellow
    • The School of Physics at Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applicants for the positions at the level of postdoctoral research fellow in theoretical physics. Applicants are expected to have demonstrated exceptional research potential, including major contributions beyond or through the doctoral dissertation.
    • The annual salary starts from 48,500,000 Korean Won (current exchange rate); an individual research grant of 10,000,000 Korean Won and a welfare card will be available each year.
    • The initial appointment for this position is for two years with possibility of a one-time renewal for up to two years, depending on research performance and the needs of the research program at KIAS.

  • Project Research Fellow
    • The School of Physics accepts applications for Project Research Fellow positions for the following research field.
    • Area : Particle Physics(Standard Model and beyond)
    • Terms of Appointment(Salary, the period of Appointment, etc.) may be adjusted according to the research project/program conditions.
