TITLE Muon g-2 in the 2HDM and MSSM: comprehensive numerical analysis and absolute maxima
ABSTRACT

The 3σ deviation of the muon magnetic moment between the experimental measurement and the theoretical expectation can be explained with various new physics models. In the presentation we focus on the 2HDM and the MSSM. These models illustrate and realize completely different qualitative parameter ranges of new particle masses which can explain the deviation.

We investigated the muon g-2 in the two-Higgs doublet model (2HDM), employing the recent full two-loop computation and making comprehensive use of experimental constraints from Higgs and flavour physics. In the talk we present the result of detailed analysis in the flavour- aligned 2HDM and characterize the parameter regions possible to explain the current 3σ deviation. Particularly we present the absolute maximum of the muon g-2 in the 2HDM as a function of the lightest Higgs mass.

We also present the MSSM results including two-loop corrections and the relevant parameter ranges. We compare the different parameter ranges of the two new physics models.
