|TITLE||Discovery potential of light sterile neutrinos with displaced vertices|
Probes of the mechanism for the unknown origin of neutrino masses at colliders is discussed via displaced vertices. I will comment on the reach at the LHC to probe light sterile neutrinos with displaced vertices in two models: a left-right symmetric model, and the Standard Model extended with right-handed neutrinos. Challenges and current limitations will be highlighted. In both models, sterile neutrino masses of about 20 GeV can be accessed at 13 TeV and 3000/fb, and active-sterile neutrino mixings as low as 1E-09 can be probed with the proposed displaced strategy.
