  • Professor
    • The School of Mathematics of Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) accepts applications from exceptional candidates working in the field of Mathematics. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
    • The initial appointment is for one to three years with possibilities of renewal for up to seven additional years. On-campus housing may be supported upon request, depending on the availability of vacancies. There are no teaching duties.
    • Applicants should email a Standard Cover Sheet and Agreement for Access and Usage of Personal Information, a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a research plan, and arrange for five letters of recommendation to be emailed directly to Ms. Sojung Bae [mathkias@kias.re.kr] by May 1, 2021 (23:59, GMT +9) for full consideration. (Applicants may choose to submit additional materials that may help assess their academic capabilities.)

  • KIAS Fellow
    • The School of Mathematics of Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applications for KIAS Fellow appointments in mathematics. Applicants should have demonstrated an outstanding record of research. Research potential and research leadership will also be considered in the evaluation of candidates.
    • The initial appointment is for five years with a possibility of a one-time renewal for up to two additional years. The starting salary is 70,000,000 Korean won (current exchange rate); an individual research grant of 30,000,000 Korean Won and a welfare card will be available each year. On-campus housing may be supported upon request, depending on the availability of vacancies. There are no teaching duties.
