  • KIAS Fellow
    • The School of Mathematics at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applications for the positions at the level of KIAS assistant professor and postdoctoral research fellow in mathematics.
    • The initial appointment is for five years with a possibility of a one-time renewal for up to two additional years. The starting salary is 70,000,000 Korean won (current exchange rate); an individual research grant of 30,000,000 Korean Won and a welfare card will be available each year. On-campus housing may be supported upon request, depending on the availability of vacancies. There are no teaching duties.
    • The initial appointment for this position is for two years and is renewable for up to two years, depending on research performance and the needs of the research program at KIAS. Applications will be reviewed twice a year, June 1 and December 1, and final candidates will be contacted individually for interviews in a month after deadline. >

  • Research Fellow
    • The School of Mathematics at the Korea Institute for Advanced Study (KIAS) invites applications for the positions at the level of postdoctoral research fellow in mathematics.
    • Applicants are expected to have demonstrated exceptional research potential, including major contributions beyond or through the doctoral dissertation. The annual salary starts from 48,500,000 Korean Won (current exchange rate); an individual research grant of 10,000,000 Korean Won and a welfare card will be available each year.

  • Project Research Fellow
    • The School of Mathematics accepts applications for Project Research Fellow positions until September 30, 2020 for the following research fields.
    • Area 1: Geometry and Topology, with focus on the rigidity in higher-dimensional diffeomorphism groups
    • Area 2: Geometry and Topology, with focus on Relating Formula of Global Invariants for 3-dimensional Hyperbolic Manifold
    • Area 3: Analysis (including Probability), with focus on Analytic Implementation of Conformal Field Theory and its Application to SLE
    • The contract period of each position may be adjusted according to the project/program conditions.
